A recent report finds that staffing suppliers are looking more favorably at vendor management system (VMS) technology and support hospital/healthcare provider-managed VMS more strongly than any other option surveyed. In the report, we speculate that much of this outlook is driven by a desire to meet the needs of healthcare providers that seek to accrue the many benefits of vendor management systems.
ShiftWise conducted the survey that serves as the basis for the report among over 1,500 staffing supplier businesses and the 149 individual respondents represent a range of companies from local, one-branch agencies to large, nationwide suppliers.
When looking at the results, we found it especially telling that 47% of respondents preferred a hospital/healthcare provider-managed VMS, by far the most widely preferred option. We had recently seen statistics from Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) stating that MSP usage is on the way down, a trend supported by the results of this survey.
Findings within the report include that the overall level of proficiency with technology is high and that ShiftWise is the most preferred VMS solution in healthcare among the options surveyed.
