ShiftWise user Diana Milan-Finley takes us inside her job and tells us what it’s like using the vendor management software.
SW: What was the main reason you started to use a Vendor Management System?
Diana: Initially we started to use a vendor management system (ShiftWise) for paper load reduction. We used to have stacks and stacks of paper getting faxed over 24/7. It was hard for my staff to keep track of everything and a lot of time was wasted. But now all of those stacks of paper are organized within the computer.
SW: Was the software an easy process to learn?
Diana: The ShiftWise implementation team is amazing! They made it simple for our entire staff to understand.
SW: How user friendly is ShiftWise?
Diana: It’s very user friendly and intuitive. The entire process is a step by step that practically guides you through from beginning to end. It’s pretty hard to mess up! In order to have an invoice you need to have a timeslip, in order to have timeslip you need to have an order.
SW: How has ShiftWise supported vendor neutrality for your contingent staffing operation?
Diana: ShiftWise gives us tremendous transparency and oversight. When a person is matched to your order you are able to determine how many times they have been at your facility. It also allows you to see the rates so you can make a sound fiscal decision.
SW: How has ShiftWise made your job easier?
Diana: The amount of time saved by using ShiftWise has helped my staff to focus on staffing. Time is not wasted hovering over the fax machine anymore.
SW:What’s your favorite feature?
Diana: That’s a tough one but I’m going to have to say the reporting capabilities. It’s great to be able to see an overview of all the usage and expense for each department. It’s really helps us with our weekly and monthly stats.
SW: The final and toughest question: What’s your favorite season?
Diana: Well I did grow up in Chicago and the Fall in Chicago is beautiful!
