Executive Team

Steven Rodriguez
Steven is the President of ShiftWise, providing leadership and vision for the company while overseeing product strategy, technology and operations. He joins the company, continuing a long and distinguished career in the workforce management industry. Steven holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma. A true creative spirit, Steven is known for the innovative ideas he brings to clients. He can also be frequently spotted visiting his daughter at Oklahoma University, which is also his alma mater (Go Sooners!).
Jason Main
Vice President of Product Management
Jason is the Vice President of Product Management, he leads the effort to provide strategic vision to Shiftwise’s suite of products. He comes to Shiftwise from Amazon Web Services, where he was a product leader specializing in bringing new products to the global market. He also has several years’ experience in the Workforce Management industry from his time as Vice President of Product with Asure Software, a leader in workplace technology solutions for the mobile workforce, including workplace utilization, scheduling and workforce management. He loves the challenge of creating and launching new products, as well as interacting with clients and industry experts to ensure the products he is involved with remain on the cutting edge of their market.
Kris Mitchell
Vice President of Client Services & Operations
Kris is the Vice President of Client Services & Operations. She brings over 20 years of business development in the healthcare industry and joined the ShiftWise team in 2003 as one of the initial members of the executive leadership team. Her teams oversee all internal staff management operations and delivery including program management, implementations, supplier management services, training, and customer service. Kris holds a BA from California State University and an MBA from Boise State University.
Mike Kinney
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mike is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. His expertise is in human capital engineering, helping organizations maximize the productivity of their people to increase revenue, cash-flow, and profits. Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas, Austin (Political Science, Economics). As a results-oriented, hands-on business executive, Mike has a history of driving accelerated growth and building global teams. His broad leadership experience in the complex sales environment is complemented by his background in account management, client services, marketing, and sales operations.

Amanda Walrath
Divisional Vice President, Client Services
As the Divisional Vice President, Client Services Amanda leads the Account Management team at ShiftWise and brings 13 years of Healthcare Staffing and Vendor Management experience. Starting with the company in 2007 to perform implementation and training functions, Amanda transitioned to be the first Account Manager hired at ShiftWise. She specializes in creating optimal workflows, cost containment initiatives, and VMS optimization. Amanda holds a BS in Business Management from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.
Danielle Buscher
Director of Learning and Education
As the Director of Learning and Education, Danielle is responsible for the strategy, design, development and delivery of the company’s training which supports our software. Danielle brings over 15 years of experience in the learning industry working for companies such as Marriott and the Compass Group. Danielle spearheaded the training development and rollout of three new software programs while working at Marriott. Throughout her career, she has developed Associate and Leadership training programs for diverse audiences, which have been delivered around the world. Danielle thrives on seeking out innovative solutions to complex business problems and is thrilled to be a part of the ShiftWise organization. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University.
Gretchen Kindig
Director of Implementation and Supplier Relations
As the Director of Implementation and Supplier Relations, Gretchen brings almost 15 years of experience to the Healthcare Staffing and Vendor Management industries. She joined ShiftWise in 2008 as an Implementation Manager, after managing two Healthcare Staffing branches in Oregon. Gretchen believes in the transparency the ShiftWise technology offers to clients. Gretchen leads the Implementation Department to consult with clients to create efficient workflows and streamline staffing processes. Gretchen holds a BS in Healthcare Administration from Oregon State University.
Ken McGowan
Software Architect
As the Software Architect, Ken works with leaders, contributors, and stakeholders throughout the organization. He provides technical leadership and collaboration with developers to foster a capable, agile engineering organization that reliably serves our business needs, delivers outstanding technical solutions, and delights our customers.
Kirstin Veltman
Technical Operations Manager
As the Technology Operations Manager, Kirstin leads the Systems Operations, DevOps, and Database Administration teams. She joined ShiftWise in 2017 after managing the IT and Operations teams at Hightail for 3 years. Kirstin brings with her experience in managing and supporting SaaS applications with tens of millions of customers. Kirstin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the University of Oregon.
